GIRO D'ITALIA RIVIERA ROMAGNOLA 2024
Between 17 and 18 May 2024 the Romagna Riviera will host the Giro d'Italia. The route of the Giro d'Italia from 4 to 26 May 2024, already officially established, will start from Venaria Reale-Turin, the grand finale in Rome and will touch on many Italian regions between including Emilia Romagna. It is not only a cycling race, but also an exploration of the places, its different regions with distinct landscape characteristics. The departure of the pink caravan is scheduled for Friday 17 May 2024 in front of the sea of Riccione and continues along the historic Via Emilia to detach after Imola in a wide passage north of Bologna and conclude in Cento with an imperial sprint. A route that will also cross the cities of Cesena, Forlì, Faenza and with them the areas most affected by last May's flood. The 13th stage - the only one of the Giro in Emilia-Romagna - will also remember Ercole Baldini, the great champion who recently passed away who Riccione has already celebrated with two exhibition projects in 2019 and 2023, to whom a flying finish line will be dedicated in Forlì, the his city.
